Two journalists from Janakpurdham have been honored with late “Umesh Chandra Jha Memorial Journalism Award” on Tuesday.
On the occasion of second anniversary, Human Development Center has awarded Rs 25,501 cash and letters of appreciation to journalists Shailendra Mahato and Birendra Raman.
Stating that Mahato has been active in journalism for the past one decade in Janakpur and has made significant contribution in journalism by transmitting factual news, Human Development Center has given this year’s Best Journalism Award to Mahato.
Similarly, journalist Birendra Raman, who has been working as journalist for past two decades marking Janakpur as his work center. Journalist Raman who was earlier infected by Corona Virus played a significant role during the pendemic and was awarded by Human Development Center during the ceremony.
Journalist Mahato and Raman were jointly awarded by Gyanendra Yadav, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law of Province Number 2 in Presence of Kundan Jha, Executive director of the Human Development Center.
Jha stated that the award was Presented to the journalist in memory of his grandfather Umesh Chandra Jha.
In the program, numerous personalities who have contributed in different stream of our society were honored with letter of appreciation.
Uday Barbariya Yadav, Chief of Sahidnagar Municipality of Dhanusha, Rinku Kumaroi Mishra(Gayatri), Vice President of Federation of Nepali Journalist, province Number 2, Anil Mishra, President of Dhanusha Branch of Federation of Nepali Journalist, Balram Thakur, Executive Director of Janakpur Greater Area Development Council, Baidyanath Sah, President of Asahaya Sanrakshan Manch, intellectual Manish Jha, Rahul jha and others were present in the program.
